A Legacy of Excellence (1980–Present)
Mir Sher Muhammad Khan Talpur Public School, Mirpurkhas (PSM), stands as one of the most prestigious residential educational institutions in the Province of Sindh. Established with the vision of providing quality education and developing future leaders, the school has been a symbol of academic excellence, discipline, and character building for more than four decades.
The foundation stone of the institution was laid on 23 June 1978 by Lt. General Muhammad Iqbal, the then Martial Law Administrator, Zone "C". The school was formally inaugurated on 2 July 1980 by Lt. General S. M. Abbasi, HI(M), Governor of Sindh. Since then, Public School Mirpurkhas has continued to grow as a center of excellence, serving students from across Sindh and beyond.
The school is named after Mir Sher Muhammad Khan Talpur, the renowned "Lion of Sindh," whose courage, patriotism, and leadership continue to inspire generations of students. Built on a spacious and serene campus, the institution provides an ideal environment for academic learning, personal growth, and co-curricular development.
The journey began with the laying of the foundation stone by Lt. General Muhammad Iqbal, marking the vision for a premier residential institution.
Formally inaugurated by Governor of Sindh, Lt. General S. M. Abbasi, commencing the mission of character building and quality education.
Organized the 1st STEAM Education Exhibition, fostering project-based learning and interdisciplinary innovation.
Achieved significant milestones including the launch of the Incubation Center, upgraded computer laboratories, and expanded AI and Robotics initiatives.
